Professional Experience

King Bourland has more than 30 years of experience in public accounting, including some time with a national firm.  King also spent 3 years with an investment firm; it was this experience that led to his industry specialization in financial services.

An audit partner, King specializes in the financial statement audits of securities broker/dealers and investment companies.  He has significant experience with public company audits, including the various SEC reporting requirements, and is also responsible for the audits of privately-held companies.  He frequently performs consulting engagements and speaks professionally on topics related to investment companies, with an emphasis on hedge funds.  King has served as an expert witness in litigation. 

Education

King earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of North Texas and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University, where he served as a lecturer in finance.
